Big Update for the 1st Annual Milblog Family Reunion

7 Years Today and Madison Rising will be joining us to blow the roof off the Soldiers’ Angels Support Center! Both bands will play private concerts for attendees on Friday, August 31, and then we’ll have a meet and greet. 7 Years Today has been a repeat guest on You Served Radio because they are great friends of the show and Madison Rising has appeared as well. MR has begun a Kickstarter to raise funds to do another album and we’re lucky enough to have them come and play for us. They have appeared on Fox and Friends and their version of the The Star Spangled Banner is THE BEST one ever. Both bands will be rockin’ the house out on Friday!

Another great opportunity we have for attendees is that Soldiers’ Angels will be handing out laptops and electronics as part of Project Valour-IT to close their fundraiser on Monday, September 3rd and we will get to see the happy faces of recipients. Soldiers Angels is very fortunate and grateful that so many have donated and continue to donate to Valour-IT to provide independence and connectivity to so many wounded young men and women! Since many of us have never seen the direct effect of the program, this is a great opportunity to see where our donation dollars go.

Labor Day weekend is going to be a blowout in San Antonio. We are very excited and if you’d like to join us, you still have a few weeks to register. For final numbers count, the deadline for registering is 6pm central on Wednesday, Aug 22. That gives us enough time for food and drink orders. You MUST be registered to attend, so those of you who have accepted the Facebook event page invitation but have not filled out the form, please do so. As a reminder, Comfort Inn, about a mile from the warehouse, has provided us a discounted rate of $69 per night, so don’t hesitate in reserving a room. We are not sure how many are still available because of the holiday weekend. You must call in and mention “Soldiers’ Angels” to get the discount.
