Monday Update from ETT team in need

I got the following email back from the team in Afghanistan that is in such dire need of food after I told them of the responses I have gotten in emails since posting the blog http://bouhammer.com/2009/03/ett-team-needs-your-help-again/ on Sunday night.

Dude, that is awesome! I appreciate it so much and my boys will love it! It’s because of Americans like them that we’re here doing what we do best and they’re here fighting right along side us.  If the Taliban and Al Qaeda had any idea what they’d bitten off when they took on the American public on SEP 11th they’d have thought twice about it.  The mainstream media often complain and discount our involvement here comparing it to the Soviets.  But you know what?   The Red Army didn’t have extraordinary Americans backing them and helping out in all the ways that they (you the supporters) have. Together, your great readers and us make up the most fearsome fighting machine the world has ever seen and with their support we can accomplish anything.

Please thank everyone for their help and support.  Knowing that every day, busy people take time out of their day and money out of their own pockets to help us motivates us beyond belief!  We’re consistently amazed by peoples’ willingness to help and go above and beyond and reminding us that the United States is the greatest country on earth and we represent them with pride!

Thanks brother, the REMFs in BAF had better be ready for the blitz that is about to ensue!

  1. Troy,

Just a progress report– in the first 24 hours that the update has been on Books For Soldiers, fourteen different volunteers have logged sending a total of 16 flat-rate boxes of food to the guys today. And it doesn’t seem to be letting up….

Tell the team to consider us their own personal bailout plan! 🙂

    Take care,
    Julie

  2. This is awesome! My best friend is just got back from Afghanistan and he told me that the support that they get from the states is very important. There are times where they feel like the are forgotten and then something will come for them in the mail and that amount of moral that have completely changes for the better!

  3. Hi Bouhammer, I was browsing through the web and chanced upon your website. This is very inspiring and encourages me to be more helpful and supportive to our brave soldiers who are far from their families. My prayers are with our brave selfless soldiers.
